Patrigraphica is honored to be recognized in the Washington Calligraphers Guild’s Fall 2025 edition of Scripsit — Pens & Protocol: The Calligraphy of Official Washington.
This special issue explores the rich history and evolution of official American calligraphy, from the White House calligraphy office to the original engrossers responsible for the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Within its pages, the Guild also highlights the modern reproduction work of third-generation calligrapher Holly Monroe and the decades-long effort behind Patrigraphica’s full-size calfskin reproductions of America’s founding documents.
For those who appreciate craftsmanship, historical preservation, and the art of traditional engrossing, being featured alongside some of the most respected names and institutions in American calligraphy is an incredible honor for our team.
Following the publication announcement, Patrigraphica founder Ryan Thelen shared his appreciation online:
The response from collectors, historians, calligraphers, and longtime supporters was overwhelmingly positive — a reminder that authentic craftsmanship and historical accuracy still matter deeply to people today.
We are proud to see Patrigraphica included in a publication dedicated to preserving the traditions, techniques, and artistry behind America’s most important written works.
